About the NetworkAll current and former tutors, GSG leaders, and receptionists comprise our official alumni community. You may have known the tutoring center as the University Learning Center, the Center for Excellence in Writing, or, if you were a GSG leader, simply "SI.” If you’re a Penn State alum and you worked for what’s now called Penn State Learning, you are welcome! Membership in the network is and always will be free. Alumni are encouraged to join in an ongoing conversation with their fellow alum and current employees. The network is designed to be a gathering place to reminiscence, discuss relevant job opportunities, and collaborate.

Where We're From |
Penn State Learning is a multi-disciplinary academic assistance program that is staffed by peer tutors who are themselves undergraduates, by scholars in residence who are content experts in their respective fields, and by professional and administrative staff members.
Penn State Learning supports individual and group tutoring, learning community development, and collaborative projects with academic departments to assess learning and improve academic assistance resources for undergraduates. See links below for more details. |
Where We're Going |
When you're an undergraduate working at Penn State Learning you're surrounded by coworkers, students, and friends all invested in peer tutoring. It's a place to learn and to teach unlike others on campus; it's collaborative, a team effort. At Penn State, many tutors join into this community. It is safe, supportive, and at times, inspirational.
The PSL Alumni Network is the opportunity to extend and expand upon that foundation. After graduation, this network is a landing page for alumni to foster their connection to fellow PSL employees. Current tutors also have a home in the network, making contributions to the ongoing story of Penn State Learning and gaining from experiences shared by alumni. A graduated Penn State tutor can look back fondly on their time in Happy Valley — and come here to find that they're still an integral part of the PSL community. |
